A simple holiday front porch

Greetings!

Today I finally wanted to spread some holiday cheer with some holiday front porch photos!

I am pretty excited about the front porch this year... mostly because I (mainly) used what I already had on hand.

Besides the burlap wreath (which cost just about $10) and the homemade "snowballs"... I already had everything else just hanging out in the backyard, waiting for next spring. :)

Wreath: I made this burlap wreath (one of my Pinterest dreams come true!) from this tutorial here.

Pine cones: My family and I collected bags of pine cones while on vacation in Mammoth Lakes, CA this past summer.

Snowballs: Dollar store foam balls covered in Mod Podge and then rolled in Epsom salts.

Lantern: This lantern was just sitting around the backyard, and was originally a dark brown color. With a fresh coat of white paint, it looks like new! The 5" vanilla candle was just $3.49 at Ikea... not a bad deal at all!

Bow: Made with dollar store ribbon!

Lighted tree: This "tree" is actually a garden trellis-type thing wrapped in garland (which I found on clearance at the end of last year's Christmas) and lights.

Completing the scene: I figured I might as well put these previously empty pots + plant stand to good use! :)

What's in bloom: Precious white mums!

So there it is... my 2012 holiday front porch. :)

I hope you have a lovely weekend! Happy holidays!

xoxo,
Ashley
